I was so excited to be invited to be part of this news piece on autism and girls for ITV News West Country. You may already know that ITV splits their news delivery into regions and this piece ran on ITV Westcountry, but it was pretty much the same across the board, bar the second to last interview clip where each region provided their own charity or support group clip. It was a great experience of having to think on my feet and get a key message across swiftly and clearly. Here’s to many more!
It is so important to keep sharing the facts rather than myths about autism and in particular girls with autism, or autistic girls, that I will always be keen to share my experiences and advocate for autistic girls to be heard, respected and accepted.
