We usually play board games at Christmas, but decided to make up our own quiz, and we had such fun I thought I’d share it with you, as we’ve already done the hard work of thinking up the questions!

Each of us did ten questions on our specialist subject, so here goes:

Round 1 – Formula 1 (one point per question)

  1. How many types of tyres can racing drivers use during their race (bonus point if you can name them).
  2. How many World Championships has British racing driver Lewis Hamilton got?
  3. What year did Formula 1 start?
  4. Who is the current Formula 1 World Champion?
  5. Where is the Monaco Grand Prix held?
  6. What do the drivers drink on the podium?
  7. How many racing drivers are on the podium?
  8. Which racing car safety device was added in 2018?
  9. What do all drivers wear to protect themselves when racing?
  10. In his racing career, how many races did Michael Schumacher win?

Round 2 – Special Educational Knowledge (one point per question)

  1. What does the acronym S.E.N.D. stand for?
  2. What is the name of the male child in my book S.E.N.D. in the Clowns, based on the experiences of my son?
  3. What year was S.E.N.D. in the Clowns published?
  4. What is the name of the legislation that protects everyone from discrimination at school or in the workplace? (bonus point if you get the year when this act became law)
  5. Are the themes in S.E.N.D. in the Clowns based on primary or secondary (high school) education?
  6. What does the word neurodiversity mean?
  7. Name two different neurotypes.
  8. What is the theme of the book I am currently writing?
